I had a great day, spent it with our boys, Kiwi & Meko. We walked them at 5:30am then Renene & I went to Gold’s Gym at 7am for a workout. We did chest & biceps & some abs. We both haven’t benched in years, for myself its been 7 years, back when I was 35 yrs old. For Renene it has been about 9 years. Back then I was benching 455 lbs., & she was doing 225 lbs. (she only weighed 128 lbs.). Today I did 255 & she 85 lbs. We don’t think we’ll try to get back to that type of weight, I would be happy to maintain 405 lbs. Renene will maintain 135 lbs. Renene made me homemade tacos & a giant fruit salad for Father’s Day.

It’s back. For all those that competed in it last year, you might want to give it another go this year, there should be some tough competition. Females too, Lisa that means you! We all know that you train hard as it is, but, now you have got to pour it on.

TC & our guy James will be competing in this fight. It will be TC’s first fight. He has trained for 2 years, he trains with Tony & Randy.

OUR TRAINING TODAY: Tony had a good day in the gym today, his training is coming along great. He is looking to fight his first ‘Pro Fight’ end of July. I am filming some of his training, which I might be posting on the blog down the road. Tony has real heart, his focus is very intense. His punch power is strong. He has been on YouTube for a while demonstrating his hand speed.

Just wanted to say a few words about Jean. He has spent a lot of time at my club, he is quite the gentleman. He is very kind to all & always took time out to greet people. The man has no ego whatsoever. When it comes to watching him work the ring, he is like a fierce lion, better yet, like a locomotive, he operates like a machine. He shows no fear of any man. We at Irongloves have come to care for this guy, we will be watching him win against Zuniga on August 1st.

James lifts are pretty impressive. His bench is down, presses only 280 lbs. having just come off a bicep & tendon injury sustained during his last fight. FYI: James is the Golden Gloves Champion for Arizona. He squats 425, deadlifts 375.

After taking one month off, Shock Zone classes will be starting back up on June 22nd, Sunday @ 9:30am. Due to the heat, classes are now conducted at Irongloves facility. Hope to see you there. Ben has to leave Irongloves. He & his wife & new baby plan to move to Nogales, Arizona to be closer to her family. We will miss him so much. He was the kindest soul you would ever want to meet. He loves his boxing training, he really cared about his people. He promised to one day return. GOOD LUCK TO YOU BUDDY!

Last weekend they picked out their wedding bands. Their wedding is October 11, 2008.
