I know it sounds wacky, but there are several websites that say that lightly tapping on your thymus helps boost your immunity:
Use the second row of knuckles on the fist of one hand to rhythmically tap on the breastbone in the center of the chest, directly over the heart. Time the tapping to a beat of one heavy tap followed by two lighter taps: ONE, two, three; ONE, two, three; etc. This pattern specifically stimulates the thymus gland, which is located directly beneath the breastbone and whose secretions play a vital role in immune response.

Daily tapping on the thymus gradually increases the size of this important gland, which tends to shrink with age, and stimulates secretion of T-cells and other immune factors. This exercise also loosens impacted toxins from lung tissue and has a stimulating effect on the heart.

Looks like the thymus is above your heart, about parallel to your armpits:

Hi everyone, I will be booking my flights tomorrow and should be out on the 25 th. It’s going to be good seeing old faces and meeting new members. I will be bringing a few new training methods that I use, I hope they are new to you. I promise that one in particular is very effective and hard. Can’t wait to get out, as its been a tough build up to coming. Lisa you can be the first tester of the drills if you wish, I know you like to try new stuff. I feel myself getting excited as I’m typing this, leaving these cold shores will be hard, as I’ll miss many people, but not the crappy weather.

I lied, yes it is me, your lovely host… No, not Vanna White, it’s me, Renene… heehee!
That means that Lisa, Tony, and Ally win. You three get to share the Gatorade. Lisa gets the first sip, cuz she guessed first.

First off, if you look at the hairdo, you might be able to guess what year, but, that could be a whole other contest. Any who~~~~

I have to explain the reason(s) for posting these photos…
Reason #1… a little bit to show off (of course) cuz those days are long gone. Not to brag a bit, honest to goodness, I never did diet, I ate like a horse, this is how my body looked every day. It goes to show you, what hard weight training does for the physic.

Reason #2… believe me, you too can change your body. It only took me 2 years to achieve this look via powerlifting. I was a 103 pound weakling. In these photos I weighed 118, I squatted 225 lbs. for reps. I eventually got up to 128 lbs., squatting 355 lbs. Hey, if you like, do you want to see my 128 lb. photos? They would scare you, big ‘ol traps I had. I did a lot of deadlifting (love it).

Reason #3… I had 3 strokes earlier this year. Having worked out for years, I was shocked to end up with such a medical condition. I did not have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, all I can figure out is, perhaps it is because I never did any cardio (bad). Power Lifters never believed in doing cardio, they felt it hindered their strength. If I knew now what I knew then (as we all say), I would’ve have incorporated interval training. Back then the general public never considered boxing, let alone, knew a darn thing about it. For us females back then, we never thought (or new much) about boxing. Fast forward about 10 years, now everyone is into Boxing.

Which brings me to my main point…. YOU CANNOT BEAT BOXING, IT IS THE BEST FORM OF EXERCISE!!! You all have seen it on TV, how the pro boxers are in the best of conditioning shape, all while having an awesome looking physique. With today’s science/knowledge, you can be both strong and in excellent health. For you young people, now is the time to be thinking of your health for your future.

All of Irongloves members know what I am talking about. So many of you have gone through the transformation. Joe and I are so proud of you all. I could write a big ‘ol story about that subject that would go something like this… “The Leinhauser’s had a Dream, to change people and bring about happiness and hopes to so many, they wanted to make a difference in peoples lives, and guess what, they did it”. The End!

Stevie_D.jpgTook a bit of a hiatus, Irongloves has been so bloody busy lately, especially getting ready for Stevie. Yep, you heard it right, Stevie is coming earlier than expected. He will be here Nov 25th. For those who are not familiar with him… he is the boxing coach from England. This is his second time coming to Irongloves to do some coaching “Brit style”. It is our pleasure to welcome him. For any of you wanting to do some extra training with Stevie, just say the word.
