Everything is done, with the exception of hanging up a few posters and photos. All the new bags were hung yesterday, YIPPEE! Special thanks to our helpers… David Crochett, Keith Deyo, Nick Alwag, Laurie and Steve Schwab. Thanks to Johnny Burke whom built the giant rack, it turned out awesome. It took about five hours to install the 9′ big monster.

I apologize for not getting photos up, Joe and I have been working day and night in getting everything done. All came off without a hitch, a brand new gym completed in one week. We didn’t think it could be done so fast, but it was. It all started off on a good note last week, thanks to our painter Dave Cowart and our helper David Crochett.

–MARQUEZ AGREES TO WEIGHT CHANGE VERSES MAYWEATHER–
The welterweight bout was expected to take place slightly below the 147-pound limit, but Mayweather came in at 146 pounds. Marquez, who has never fought at a weight this high before, was 142.

According to Keith Kizer, executive director of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, the bout was supposed to have a weight limit of 144. However, before Friday’s weigh-in, Mayweather’s camp asked Marquez if they could move it up to 147.

Without dispute, Kizer says, Marquez agreed to the change. Marquez is slated to make a base salary of $2 million that likely will increase by $500,000 because of the weight adjustment.
