Today is Tony’s 4 year anniversary with Irongloves. How fast does time goes by, man. Tony, thanks for 4 great years, thanks for your devotion. You are what Irongloves is all about… boxing, pride, & honor!!!

Robin has lost 20lbs so far at our boxing group classes. She lost the 20 in one month, that is a total of 8 classses. Also, she has lost 1 & 1/2″ on each side. She knows this because she just got measured for her wedding dress. She said it cost $120 for the dress alterations, but worth every penny of it. She has until March 20th, to lose her last 10 lbs.

The Boxing Group Class was a good one tonight. We had 14 people. We worked on cardiovascular. Monday’s was punch volumn.

“Battle Wounds of a Boxer”. Here is Scotty Bruce after a friendly sparring session. Actually, he had even more blood on him, I snapped the photo after he had already wiped quite a bit off. It looks like he has lipstick on, but that is actual blood, ugh!

Ask Scotty if he likes to spar & he’d jump right back in the ring. He’s a great fighter, scheduled to compete later this year.

Don’t you think the 2010 Olympics have been motivating this year. We have really enjoyed them.

If you haven’t seen the movie ‘Million Dollar Baby’, you are missing out on one of the greats. Talk about a true passion for boxing. Warning, it is probably the saddest movie of all times.

From now on — You now must have your own gloves. It use to be if you trained with a coach, that you could use our designated gloves. Well, so many people were using our good (newer) gloves & there is really no way to prevent this from happening when Joe isn’t around. Therefore, from now on you will have to use your own gloves.

Dick’s sells the new version of Everlast gloves for only $29.99. Sports Authority or Big 5 does not have the new Everlast, at least not the stores that we visited. The new style at Dick’s have pretty good foam quality, pretty good protection. They carry all ounces, in all colors. We have for sale some very nice boxing gloves, starting at $40.

Good news — It looks like Travis Walker will be setting up his camp at Irongloves. He’ll be fighting March 20th on the under-card of Klitshcko.

Three of our fighters did get matched up — Parker, Juan, & Andrew. Nick & Phillip did not get matched. Fights start at 2:00 at Central Boxing Gym, 1755 W. Van Buren in Phoenix.
