SUPPORT OUR TROOPS by Renene
It’s not Veteran’s Day, not Memorial Day, not September 11th, it is a day that I just want everyone to take a moment to think about our troops. Today and everyday, their lives are at risk. As you prepare for your work week, please take a moment to say a prayer for our soldiers. I wish to say to my husband Joe, whom is a Gulf War Veteran, “you are my HERO.”

Did you know that a handful of almonds has 9 grams of protein. What’s so cool about almonds, they never go bad. You can carry them everywhere with you, they can withstand the Arizona heat in your car.
After you workout & if you don’t have time to get a bit of food in your belly, the just pop a handful of almonds. And if you are the type to get that icky fainty feeling after boxing, almonds will help you recover. To add a banana with your almonds, you would have a perfect fix.
MAKE SURE YOU BUY THE PLAIN (NATURAL) ALMONDS. DO GO & BUY THE SALTED, OR THE HONEY ROASTED, YOU WILL ONLY DEFEAT THE PURPOSE OF HEALTHY.
This Friday we will have some good sparring going on. It will be Scotty, Anthony, Dave, Joshua, & Tony (Trevor’s brother). It will be starting around 4:30pm. Stop on it to watch if you like.
Here’s a booster for the body. Try doing this quick 5 minute exercise when you first get up in the morning.
From TV celebrity trainer Bob Harper.
ALTERNATING LUNGES and CURL ROTATION:
Start in standing postion with dumbbells in each hand & curled up beside your chest. As you step forward to lunge, lower the dumbbells simultaneously. Then as you come up with your leg, raise the dumbbells back upward to curling position, next to your chest. Switch legs, & keep on lunging & curling. Go for 5 minutes straight.
Today’s motivation is my favorite saying:
“PERSERVANCE. Continue a course of action, despite the difficulties.”
I had this written on my door during my college years, so that I would see it coming & going. I believed in this, & lived by it, & I ended up accomplishing many things that I am proud of today. We all must believe in ourselves, if you always persevere, you WILL overcome many bumps in the road.
In case some of you are wondering why the Blog is been a bit inactive — it’s because Renene’s has been swamped. The way the Blog works…. I give her the articles/work to input, but because we have been so busy at Irongloves, she is at the facility everyday now working the desk.
BUSY IS GOOD, no complaints, it’s just that we feel bad for not keeping up with the Blog. We realize many of you read it everyday, we are very thankful to our fans!!!
