Arizona Silver Gloves & the USA Open & Novice State Championships 2010
Date: December 11th & 12th 2010
This year both the Arizona Silver Gloves and the USA Open & Novice State Championships will be hosted the same weekend at the same venue, Az Rec Boxing Club at the ARCH.

The Silver Gloves is an annual competition for amateur boxing in the United States. The contest is sponsored by Ringside, Inc.

State Silver Gloves Champions will advance to Norwalk, California for the Regional Championships January 4-9, 2011.

Winners of the Regionals advance to the Silver Gloves Nationals which will be held in Lenexa, KS February 2, 3, 4, & 5 2011.

The Silver Gloves are open to all non-professional boxers age 10 to 15 years old. The Silver Gloves is not the Golden Gloves amateur tournament, which is for amateur boxers age 16 and over.

The USA Open & Novice State Championships:
The qualifying tournament for The USA Boxing National Championships, the premier amateur boxing event in the United States.

Open Division Champions will advance to the Regional Four Corners Senior Tournament @ Salt Lake City, Utah February 18-19, 2011.

National Championships will be conducted in Colorado Springs March 20 through March 27, 2011.

The U.S. Boxing National Championships have been held annually since 1888, making it the longest running boxing tournament in the United States. Former champions include Pernell Whitaker, Oscar De La Hoya, Sugar Ray Leonard, Floyd Mayweather, Jr., and Muhammad Ali (as Cassius Clay).
