I had to post this… because for 5 years, we had our dogs on the prescription food called Royal Canin, only to find out that it is totally loaded with harmful garbage. We honestly believe that Royal Canin aided in the death of our little angel ‘Meko’. He had so many problems with his kidneys, thus dying of a stroke. Please DO check  your dog food, making sure it does not include any harmful ingredients. Your pet’s food should be TOTALLY GRAIN FREE!

Approx 1 month ago we started using the dog food called “Taste of the Wild”. It has already made a difference with our 10 year old Yorkie ‘Kiwi’. His allergies have cleared up, his poor little eyes use to run all the time for 2 years & we would have to use eye wash to cleanse them daily. Plus, he would constantly lick his paws, this has seem to stop as well. Our dog’s stool is great too, no longer does he have complications going potty, & the stools are a bit larger, so that tells me he is having healthy bowel movements, getting it all out of him. To purchase Taste of the Wild, you will have to google to find a place near you. We purchase it at Tempe Feed & Tack. The owners of this store will answer all your questions of concern, they are extremely educated on pet food & were so helpful for us!

…Here’s what your pet’s food SHOULD NOT have in it: 
No Corn, Soy, Wheat, Oats, Oatmeal, Barley, Rice, Brewer Rice
No Glycerin
No Bone Meal
No Beet Pulp
No BHA – BHT
No Ethoxyquin
No Menadione (this one is usually way down on the list, so look hard for it)
No by Products

You should also have your dog drink Unfiltered Organic Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). It will aid in proper kidney function. Add 1/2 teaspoon to a large water bowl of water. You can purchase ACV almost anywhere, especially at all the Organic Grocery Stores & at Fry’s. 

 10 reasons for adding Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV): 

1. ACV contains vitamins, minerals, and enzymes important for keeping animals healthy.
2. ACV neutralizes the acid in dogs and cats. Adding apple cider vinegar to their water or food will help keep those brown tear stains for forming under their eyes and eliminate the brown patches on your lawn by balancing your pet’s PH.
3. A solution of half water and half ACV added to the skin after a bath will get rid of fleas. Let the fur air dry and, to be sure fleas don’t return add a table spoon of ACV to their drinking water. (4 to 5 cups of water) Adjust amount of vinegar for small animals.
4. For itchy skin use a solution of half water and half ACV on your pet’s skin as well as adding it to their drinking water.
5. For Ringworm, sponge affected areas twice a day with one third water and two thirds ACV.
6. You can ease the pain of arthritis and stop hot spots by adding ACV to your pet’s drinking water.
7. A bit of vinegar in their food or drinking water will keep kidney stones from forming especially in cats.
8. Spray your barn with Apple Cider Vinegar to keep flies away. Also, sprayed on farm animals to keep flies, and other pests away.
9. Spray ACV to horses hooves to dry up thrush.
10. Spray your pet’s bed and bedding with ACV every few days to keep fleas from moving in and to keep it smelling nice.
