He arrived safe & sound from England after a 10+ hour flight. Today is Thanksgiving, I forgot that the Brits do not celebrate this holiday. So today will be a history lesson of how it came to be, basically how we took the land from our Native American Indians. It is a strange holiday indeed.
But anyways, back to Stevie. He will be at Irongloves for 3 months doing his fine coaching. Give us a call if you wish to do some training with him.
Perry Scott Walker Professional Boxer, born October 30, 1969 in Mesa, lived in Apache Junction, Arizona.
Walker’s nickname was “The Pink Cat,” and he gained some attention in the 1990s boxing scene for wearing pink boxing trunks and slicked-back hair, the latter a tribute to his idol, James Dean. He is best known for winning a ten round decision over hall-of-fame champion Alexis Arguello, ending Arguello’s ill-conceived bid at a comeback in 1995. Walker fought another hall-of-famer Julio Cesar Chaves in 1996 in a nationally televised bought, losing in a second-round knockout. Walker infamously cried tears in the ring after the knockout, fueling rumors (started by the Pink Cat nickname and pink trunks) that he was gay. Later in his career, Walker won the WBC Continental Americas light welterweight title over Francisco Cuesta on July 17, 1995. He retired with a record of 25-7-1 (13 KO’s).
January 31, 2004 Walker was found dead (age 34) in his home of unspecified causes. He is a member of the Arizona Boxing Hall of Fame. Fight Record: BoxRec
Footnote: Personally I don’t think he was gay, he was just man enough to dare to wear pink. It is really bad what they say about people after they are dead and gone. A friend of ours from Las Vegas knew Walker, said the guy was a truly skilled boxer.

I lied, yes it is me, your lovely host… No, not Vanna White, it’s me, Renene… heehee!
That means that Lisa, Tony, and Ally win. You three get to share the Gatorade. Lisa gets the first sip, cuz she guessed first.
First off, if you look at the hairdo, you might be able to guess what year, but, that could be a whole other contest. Any who~~~~
I have to explain the reason(s) for posting these photos…
Reason #1… a little bit to show off (of course) cuz those days are long gone. Not to brag a bit, honest to goodness, I never did diet, I ate like a horse, this is how my body looked every day. It goes to show you, what hard weight training does for the physic.
Reason #2… believe me, you too can change your body. It only took me 2 years to achieve this look via powerlifting. I was a 103 pound weakling. In these photos I weighed 118, I squatted 225 lbs. for reps. I eventually got up to 128 lbs., squatting 355 lbs. Hey, if you like, do you want to see my 128 lb. photos? They would scare you, big ‘ol traps I had. I did a lot of deadlifting (love it).
Reason #3… I had 3 strokes earlier this year. Having worked out for years, I was shocked to end up with such a medical condition. I did not have high blood pressure or high cholesterol, all I can figure out is, perhaps it is because I never did any cardio (bad). Power Lifters never believed in doing cardio, they felt it hindered their strength. If I knew now what I knew then (as we all say), I would’ve have incorporated interval training. Back then the general public never considered boxing, let alone, knew a darn thing about it. For us females back then, we never thought (or new much) about boxing. Fast forward about 10 years, now everyone is into Boxing.
Which brings me to my main point…. YOU CANNOT BEAT BOXING, IT IS THE BEST FORM OF EXERCISE!!! You all have seen it on TV, how the pro boxers are in the best of conditioning shape, all while having an awesome looking physique. With today’s science/knowledge, you can be both strong and in excellent health. For you young people, now is the time to be thinking of your health for your future.
All of Irongloves members know what I am talking about. So many of you have gone through the transformation. Joe and I are so proud of you all. I could write a big ‘ol story about that subject that would go something like this… “The Leinhauser’s had a Dream, to change people and bring about happiness and hopes to so many, they wanted to make a difference in peoples lives, and guess what, they did it”. The End!
