VIRUS IS COMING!

I  checked with Norton Anti-Virus, and they are gearing up for this virus! I checked www.Snopes.com, and it is for real. Send this E-mail message around to your contacts ASAP.

You  should be alert during the next few days. Do not open any message with an attachment entitled  POSTCARD FROM HALLMARK, regardless of who sent it  to you. It is a virus which opens A POSTCARD  IMAGE, which ‘burns’ the whole hard disc C of your computer.

This  virus will be received from someone who has your e-mail address in his/her contact list. This is  the reason why you need to send this e-mail to all  your contacts. It is better to receive this message 25 times than to receive the virus and open it.

If  you receive a mail called ‘POSTCARD,’ even though sent to you by a friend, do not open it! Shut down your computer immediately. This is the worst virus announced by CNN.

It  has been classified by Microsoft as the most  destructive virus ever. This virus was discovered by McAfee yesterday, and there is no repair yet  for this kind of virus. This virus simply destroys  the Zero Sector of the Hard Disc, where the vital information is kept.

PLEASE FORWARD THIS WARNING AMONG FRIENDS, FAMILY AND CONTACTS!

This is an amazing story about how animals never forget us! Christian the Lion remembers his owners after being in the wild for one year. It’s an old story, the TV show ‘The View’ with Barbara Walters featured it a while a back.

One of our members had a bad experience with the company called Office Depot, not to be confused with Office Max. They are mostly an online store, but do have a few stores remaining, there is one in Tucson.

Here ‘s what happened in her own words:
Last Friday, I decided I wanted a nice, big, desk chair. So I went searching and found one at OfficeDepot.com (not Office Max, I found out they are different companies.) I found one chair that cost $150, so I ordered it. Then, I started reading reviews about it and found out that a lot of people said the tilt broke after one month.

So, I went back to Office Depot and cancelled the order, less than an hour after I had placed it.

I checked my bank account today and come to find out that Office Depot had charged me TWICE for the same chair. So I called their toll free number and talked to someone in the Philippines. You can imagine what that call was like. Eventually, the guy told me that the charges should be reversed in about a week to ten days. I was even madder after I finished the call than before.

So, tomorrow, I am calling the closest store (in Tucson) and complaining. And complaining. I don’t know if it will do any good, but I’m hoping to talk to someone that understands English better than their customer service department.”

A True Story
Presented to us from Robyn Wallace. INCREDIBLE STORY. Thanks Robyn!

In 2003, police in Warwickshire , England , opened a garden shed and found a whimpering, cowering dog.  The dog had been locked in the shed and abandoned.  It was dirty and malnourished, and had quite clearly been abused.
In an act of kindness, the police took the dog, which was a female greyhound, to the Nuneaton Warwickshire Wildlife Sanctuary, which is run by a man named Geoff Grewcock, and known as a haven for animals abandoned, orphaned, or otherwise in need.
Geoff and the other sanctuary staff went to work with two aims: to restore the dog to full health, and to win her trust.  It took several weeks, but eventually both goals were achieved.  They named her Jasmine, and they started to think about finding her an adoptive home.

Jasmine, however, had other ideas.  No one quite remembers how it came about, but Jasmine started welcoming all animal arrivals at the sanctuary.  It would not matter if it were a puppy, a fox cub, a rabbit or, any other lost or hurting animal.  Jasmine would just peer into the box or cage and, when and where possible, deliver a welcoming lick.

Geoff relates one of the early incidents.  “We had two puppies that had been abandoned by a nearby railway line.  One was a Lakeland Terrier cross and another was a Jack Russell Doberman cross.  They were tiny when they arrived at the centre, and Jasmine approached them and grabbed one by the scruff of the neck in her mouth and put him on the settee.  Then she fetched the other one and sat down with them, cuddling them.”
“But she is like that with all of our animals, even the rabbits.  She takes all the stress out of them, and it helps them to not only feel close to her, but to settle into their new surroundings.  She has done the same with the fox and badger cubs, she licks the rabbits and guinea pigs, and even lets the birds perch on the bridge of her nose.”

Jasmine, the timid, abused, deserted waif, became the animal sanctuary’s resident surrogate mother, a role for which she might have been born.  The list of orphaned and abandoned youngsters she has cared for comprises five fox cubs, four badger cubs, fifteen chicks, eight guinea pigs, two stray puppies and fifteen rabbits – and one roe deer fawn.  Tiny Bramble, eleven weeks old, was found semi-conscious in a field.  Upon arrival at the sanctuary, Jasmine cuddled up to her to keep her warm, and then went into the full foster-mum role.  Jasmine the greyhound showers Bramble the roe deer with affection, and makes sure nothing is matted.

“They are inseparable,” says Geoff.  “Bramble walks between her legs, and they keep kissing each other.  They walk together round the sanctuary.  It’s a real treat to see them.”

Jasmine will continue to care for Bramble until she is old enough to be returned to woodland life.  When that happens, Jasmine will not be lonely.  She will be too busy showering love and affection on the next orphan or victim of abuse.

Pictured from the left are: “Toby”, a stray Lakeland dog; “Bramble”, orphaned roe deer; “Buster”, a stray Jack Russell; a dumped rabbit; “Sky”, an injured barn owl; and “Jasmine”, with a mother’s heart doing best what a caring mother would do….and such is the order of God’s Creation. And, just in case you wondered…
http://www.snopes.com/photos/animals/jasmine.asp , has verified the truth of this wonderful story and the reality of these photographs which accompany the story – so you can pass this story on, and help make someone else’s day just a little brighter!

A guy stuck his head into a barbershop and asked, “How long before I can get a haircut?”

The barber looked around the shop full of customers and said, “About 2 hours.”

The guy left.

A few weeks later, the same guy stuck his head in the door and asked, “How long before I can get a haircut?”

The barber looked around at the shop and said, “About 3 hours.”

The guy left.

A month later, the same guy stuck his head in the shop and asked, “How long before I can get a haircut?”

The barber looked around the shop and said, “About an hour and a half.”

The guy left.

The barber turned to his friend and said, “Hey, Bob, do me a favor. Follow that guy and see where he goes. He keeps asking how long he has to wait for a haircut, but then he doesn’t ever come back.” He must be going some place
where he gets seen right away.

A little while later, Bob returned to the shop, laughing hysterically.

The barber asked, “So, where does that guy go when he leaves?”

Bob looked up, wiped the tears from his eyes and said, “Your house!”
